The TransIndonesia Network was constructed under a turnkey contract by Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN). The network is built using NSN Next Generation Transport equipment capable of supporting multiple 40 Gigabit wavelengths per fiber pair.
The network incorporates a high capacity transmission system of 40 x 40Gbps channels utilising DWDM technology.
The network will be upgraded in the near future to accommodate 100 Gbps wavelengths.
Today the network supports total available capacity of 1.6Tbps. With capacity upgrades available to 100Gbps per channel, the TransIndonesia Network will be capable of supporting a total capacity of 4Tbps in the future.
